Dear Hannah,

Hi Sweet Girl. I know, it’s been awhile since I’ve written. Again - it’s because I would just cry whenever I sat down to write. I would just see this notebook and cry. It hasn’t gotten better, although your Granny has been talking about coming to see you again. We both miss you SO much. I long to hold you. I wish I could.

It occurs to me that it is probable that by the time you are old enough to read this that maybe they stopped teaching cursive writing and you can’t read it. So I will try hard to print. I’m terrible at that though lol ;)

I want you to know that I love you. I am going to make an effort to write more, I promise. My heart still hurts - but I am hopeful that very soon I will be able to see you and hold you.

I love you SO much. ALWAYS remember that. <3
