Summary

Dearest Hannah,

So let me give you a summary of what’s happened since we last saw you in July.

• Your Granny and I both spoke with your daddy about being left out; consequentially we were allowed to start having video calls with you.

• Your mother messaged and told me that she believes that scammers are going to steal your name and image and information and use it to screw up your credit and/or scam other people. So she demanded that your Granny and I remove all of the photos of you we posted online.

• She further demanded others like Aunt Starla and Candis do the same. Of course, we all think this is absolutely ridiculous and just another ploy to exclude us, but we do not have a choice. Your Granny and I complied immediately.

I went though my posts and your Granny’s posts. It was like cutting off an arm. I got so many messages from friends asking me if something happened to you because all my “proud auntie photos” were gone. They all thought you’d died or something. And, I explained to every one of them your mother’s theory. And then I asked those of them who had kids to post photos of their kids. It’s passive aggressive and petty, but all of them posted their kids waving hello. They were waiving hello to you and me. I took pleasure in that. One of my friends even went so far as to have their little boy pose as this online scam buster guy we all watch on you tube. I laughed so hard. My friends are awesome. I got that totally.

Nothing has changed. We’re still having to tread lightly and walk on egg shells. We know one wrong move, word, anything and we will be cut out of your life. It isn’t your daddy. I don’t believe he’d ever do that to us. But, we are well aware that we don’t mean a single thing to your mother. That’s how she’s treated us since you were born.
